Meet Dr. Finlayson!

Dr. Kiteria Finlayson, DO was a non-traditional osteopathic medical student and now practices as a non-traditional Osteopathic Family Physician. Prior to medical school, she worked in a variety of industries including transportation. While working as an Over-the-Road Truck Driver, she witnessed firsthand the challenges drivers faced in staying healthy and accessing healthcare while working so hard. This experience was one of the reasons that motivated Dr. Finlayson to become a physician. She graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Biology (concentration Cell Biology and Biotechnology) and went on to attending an osteopathic medical school. After obtaining her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, she completed residency training in Family Medicine. While providing patient care in a variety of settings both inpatient and outpatient, she wanted to learn more beyond just managing chronic diseases. Dr. Finlayson’s thirst for knowledge and “outside the box” mindset led her to studying Lifestyle Medicine, Hormonal Therapy and Functional Medicine. She is a FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner and has had a Class A CDL for over 10 years.

Dr. Finlayson is a homeschooling mom of two teenagers. When she is not working, she’s “glamping” with her family and two dogs. She enjoys reading, dancing, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
